Watch: Matt Mitcham scores silver in 1m springboard at Commonwealth Games
Matthew Mitcham has claimed his fifth silver medal in the Commonwealth Games finishing second in the men's 1m springboard.
The Australian diver received a score of 76.40 placing second to England's Jack Laugher who claimed victory with a reverse one-and-a-half somersault with two-and-a-half twists scoring 76.80. South Africa's Grant Nel placed third.
There'll be plenty of further upcoming diving action, especially when Mitcham takes on British diver Tom Daley in Saturday's 10 metre platform.
"Tom has been diving really well all year," Mitcham commented.
"I have been watching him do all his world series events so he's looking really good and I just don't know where I compare to that but all I can do is do my best and whatever I get, I'll be happy with because I've done everything in my power just to get here."
