Sydney's Rough Diamonds recap the Darwin Outgames

Sydney's all-girl team the Rough Diamonds shone at the recent Asia-Pacific Outgames with the team's co-captain Hayley Lockett  providing GNN with an exclusive wrap-up of all the sporting solidarity.

Monday 12/5/14

Split across three teams, the Rough Diamonds brought the heat to the court taking bronze in pool A and Gold and Silver in pool B.

Tuesday 13/5/14

Not only did the Diamonds nab the gold medal but Roughie Mel D'Arcy was awarded with Most Valuable Player with Tash Ball receiving the Encouragement Award.

Wednesday 14/5/14

Playing soccer from 9am til 9pm was a full-on day for the team and they placed fourth after losing in the bronze medal match.

Beach Volleyball

The team won gold in beach volleyball and were "bloody awesome," says Rough Diamonds co-captain Hayley Lockett who also won the umpire's award for best beach volleyball player.
