Shamrocks to take on Stealers in Women's Baseball Grand Final

The SX Shamrocks have secured themselves a place in this weekend's Sydney Women's Baseball grand final and will again challenge the Stealers whom they defeated in 2013.

Smashing the Saints during the semi-final on Sunday 27/7/14 to win 23-1, the SX Shamrocks will now cruise through to the grand final this weekend to play the Stealers, a match which will undoubtedly leave them with a certain sense of déjà vu considering the two teams battled it out during last year's grand final.

Shamrock player Hayley Lockett says the team is excited about the upcoming game and urges supporters to show their enthusiasm.

"This year will be a rematch of last year's grand final so hopefully the Shamrocks can make it a third premiership in a row," Lockett says. "We encourage everyone to come along and cheer us on."

The Shamrocks play the Stealers at 1pm at Robertson & Lang Road Moore Park on 3 August.
