Mark Bingham biopic to screen at Brisbane Hustlers fundraiser
Brisbane’s gay and inclusive rugby union team, the Brisbane Hustlers, have their sights set on the world cup of gay rugby, the Bingham Cup, which will be held in Sydney in August.
To help get to Sydney, this weekend the boys are holding a fundraising screening: the Queensland premiere of The Rugby Player, about the life of Mark Bingham, the American the cup is named for.

Bingham, a keen footballer, died as one of the passengers on United Flight 93 on September 11, 2001, after efforts to regain control of the plane from the hijackers brought the aircraft down short of its Washington DC target, thought to be the White House or the Capitol Building.
Bring a blanket and don your hoodie for this screening under the stars at Easts Rugby Union Club. Drinks, sausage sizzle, popcorn and more available for sale on the night.
The Rugby Player, 4pm-8pm, Easts Rugby Union Club, Halifax St, Coorparoo, Sunday, July 20, 2014. Tickets here.
