Australia through to the final of AFC Women's Asian Cup

Australia has advanced to the final of the Asian Football Confederation Women's Asian Cup in Ho Chi Minh City.

Defeating Korea Republic 2-1 in the semi final at Thong Nhat Stadium on Thursday secured Australia a place in the final against World Cup holders Japan.

Goals from Katrina Gorry and Elise Kellond-Knight assisted the Aussies in their victory.

In the lead-up to reaching the Asian Cup Final, Australia drew with Japan 2-2, and won against Jordan 3-1 and Vietnam 2-0.

The AFC Asian Women’s Cup final will be televised live on Fox Sports One Sunday 25th May 11.08pm
