Ellen DeGeneres to launch a digital network
The queen of television is now about to takeover YouTube as well.
Ellen DeGeneres is launching her own digital network, ‘The Ellen Digital Network’, featuring YouTube personalities. The network will feature a mixture of original programming and user-generated content.
DeGeneres has already signed up YouTuber and LGBT activist, Tyler Oakley, who has over 8 million subscribers to his channel. Oakley will create content for the network alongside DeGeneres.
The channel will also feature a “Damn, Daniel” series for Snapchat; “Ellen’s Pet Dish,” an animated series featuring her pets from Warner Bros.’ digital production studio Blue Ribbon Content; a series starring 4-year-old whiz kid and viral sensation Brielle; and new episodes of “tWitch & Allison’s Dance Challenge.”
“I’m so excited for the Ellen Digital Network. I’ll get to showcase amazing talents like Tyler Oakley and tWitch, plus, I’ll finally prove to the world that my pets can speak in human voices.”
