HIV-positive US student secretly films others, exposes them to virus.
A HIV-positive student is accused of filming himself having sex with up to 30 men.
Michael Johnson, a 21-year old Missouri University student, was first arrested in October 2013 for being aware he had contracted the HIV virus and continuing to sleep with partners without informing them he had contracted the disease.
Police began investigating Johnson when a former partner of his came forward, claiming to have contracted HIV.
In January 2014, new information came to light when police and investigators found documented footage on Johnson’s laptop of him having sex with his partners, which he had filmed without consent.
“On that laptop were 32 videos (of partners) engaged in sexual acts with Mr Johnson,” said St Charles County prosecutor Tim Lohmar.
It is alleged victims in the video questioned whether Johnson had HIV, to which he replied no, and engaged in unsafe sex with his partners.
Police are still trying to identify some of the people in the video, however have urged Johnson’s partners to come forward.
Police say Johnson goes by the name of Tiger Mandingo and that he has six social media accounts where he is believed to have met his hookups.
