Gay Man beaten at Detroit Pride
A young 20-year-old gay man was attacked by a group of men at Motor City Pride in Detroit.
Christin Howard told police the group began shouting homophobic slurs at him as he was taking photos at the Pride event with a a friend. Not long after, the men launched an attack on Howard. Witnesses confirmed a group numbering between five to eight men began harassing Howard before launching into beating him brutally.
One bystander captured the footage on his mobile phone. The group of men continued to beat Howard even after he was laid out on the ground.
The suspects walked away from the scene leaving a bruised and battered Howard in a state of shock. Howard attended the local hospital where he was treated for bruising and lacerations.
Howard told the local ABC affiliate that the group of men continued to pummel him after he hit the ground.

Howard, a stylist, told the news station that he won’t be able to go to work until his hand heals.
