WATCH: Ricky Martin protests Moroccan anti-gay laws

While singing "She's All I ever Had" during a recent performance at the Mawazine music festival in Morocco, Ricky Martin changed the pronouns to reflect his own sexuality in a defiant stance against the country's anti-gay laws.

The song's original lyrics were altered half way through the verse with the openly gay singer crooning:

“It’s the way she makes me feel / It’s the only thing that’s real / It’s the way she understands / He’s my lover, he’s my friend / When I look into his eyes it’s the way I feel inside / Like the man I want to be / He’s all I ever need.”

Homosexuality in Morocco is criminimalised for both sexes with "lewd or unnatural acts" resulting in a prison sentence of between six months and three years.
