Watch: Italian Football team's sexy anti-homophobia message

Who knew they played American Football in Italy? Not only do they embrace the sport but one team, the Bergamo Lions have released a public service announcement tackling homophobia and bullying in sports.

The video features out actor Carlo Gabardini.

In text that accompanied the clip the team say they are fighting against the “narrow-mindedness towards those who are different that is still present in Italian society”.

They add “Homophobia is a serious problem, although many do not want to recognise it. It can push the most vulnerable to extreme measures.  To this we say no . "

Now our Italian is pretty rusty so that’s probably not a fabulous translation – but the clip seems to speak for itself.

Italian speakers can also check out the article.

Feel free to supply a more accurate translation.
