WATCH: Gay guy's hilarious and honest poem about the courage to love

A gay U.S. poet has delivered a hilarious and endearing spoken word performance about being, young gay and in love.

The poem I hit send or Modern meltdown was written by Steven Boyle and performed at Pennsylvania State University, where it was met with much laughter.

Boyle quite brilliantly describes the painstaking process of crafting a text message to someone with whom he's in love and the deliberation which ensues as he decides whether or not to hit send – undoubtedly a scenario many people can relate to, whether gay or straight.
