WATCH: Bigoted parents abuse and kick out gay son, amazing crowdfunding campaign ensues
A 19-year-old boy who was thrown out of his family home and abused for being gay has had a crowdfunding campaign set up for him which has so far raised $35,000.
When Daniel tells his religious family he is gay he both physically and verbally abused, despite telling his mother his sexuality is "not a choice."
His mother responds saying:
“I believe in the word of God. And God creates nobody that way, it is a path that you have chosen.”
“Since you have chosen that path, we will not support you any longer. You will need to move out and find wherever you can to live and do you want to. I will not let people believe I condone what you do.”
Daniel's distressed boyfriend then uploaded the video to Reddit, requesting assistance from the online community.

"My boyfriend got kicked out of his home and disowned yesterday. It’s been a really traumatic experience for him, and I feel so terrible and angry that this happened."
“I’m so sad that so many people have to go something like this. For any of you that have, what’s the best way I can support him?”
The Reddit community responded by setting up a crowdfunding campaign through the website gofundme.com which has so fair raised in excess of $90,000.
