Warren Talbot resigns from LGBTI Health Alliance
The LGBTI Health Alliance's long serving executive director, Warren Talbot has resigned, citing personal health matters. Talbot will stay on to oversee the recruitment process.
Talbot tendered his resignation last week, which has been accepted by the Board. Since his appointment in 2011, Talbot has overseen significant growth within the organisation, inlcuding advances in government assistance with matters of LGBTI mental health and wellbeing and the inclusion of more services for intersex and transgender people.
Susan Ditter Chairperson of the Alliance commented "It is with sadness and optimism that we accept Warren's resignation and progress the recruitment process and we thank Warren for a truly tremendous job in growing the Alliance and creating an expert team."
Ditter said she is delighted Talbot has committed to remain with the Alliance to assist with the recruitment process and ensure a smooth transition for the next executive director.
Ditter was also quick to assure the community Alliance services will continue as normal in this transition period.
