The members of Midsumma and Pride March have both voted unanimously for Pride March to be dissolved into Victoria’s largest queer arts and cultural festival.

“Midsumma has written into our constitution that we will present an annual pride march and Pride March Victoria has been wound up as an organisation,” festival manager Monique Thorpe told MCV.

“Both organisations are very happy with the result and are working together to ensure all information is passed along, as well as the archives and historical artefacts of Pride March, to ensure these are not lost,” Thorpe said.

The 28th Midsumma Festival runs from January 18 to February 8, 2015.
