With the inaugural Midwinta Ball fast approaching, organisers have announced some special guests for the fundraiser.

Celebrated Indigenous soprano, Deborah Cheetham AO, and pianist, Toni Lalich, will perform on the night and much loved actor of stage and screen, Spencer McLaren, will be Master of Ceremonies.

“We’re very excited that distinguished performers like Deborah Cheetham and Toni Lalich will be performing exclusively for us at our inaugural Midwinta Ball. Guests should expect an evening of superb performances and fine dining,” said Midsumma Chair Aaron Hockly.

“Midwinta is a great opportunity for the community to forget about Melbourne’s dreary weather and enjoy a night of great entertainment.  Who wouldn’t want to attend a gala ball where the dress code is frocked up and fabulous?”

Other performances will include Midsumma’s favourite diva, Dolly Diamond, dance group the Real Hot Bitches, plus a fashion parade hosted by awarded milliner, Kerrie Stanley.

The Midwinta Gala Ball will be held on Friday, August 15, at the Savoy Ballroom, Grand Hyatt Melbourne.

Tickets available from midsumma.org.au.
