ADELAIDE: The Parkestone Association will be meeting in July to consider funding submissions for 2014 for projects which educate the community on LGBT issues.

The trustees of the Parkestone Association manage a trust fund established in 1982 to financially assist LGBT  projects which educate community members about sexual and gender diversity.

Last year the Parkestone Association supported Gay Times Are Here Again, the exhibition at the State Library of South Australia that celebrated the 40th anniversary of the 1973 Adelaide Gay Pride Week.

Available funds are limited to approx $1000 and priority will be given to requests for assistance to purchase equipment, or to produce materials of a permanent nature in projects that will benefit the LGBT community.

Projects must be completed within 12 months of receipt of funding with a report to the trustees. Both groups and individuals can make submissions.

To obtain an application form go to: and follow the instructions; or write to The Secretary, The Parkestone Association, PO Box 3021, Unley SA 5061.

The closing date for submissions is close of business Friday July 18, 2014
