Vatican says Roman Catholic Church should be less judgemental of gays
A Vatican document has stated that the Roman Catholic Church should be less judgemental of gays.
The 75-page working document known as Instrumentum Laboris, , says the Catholic Church must be less judgemental of homosexuals, and while still opposing gay marriage, should welcome children of gay couples into the faith with equal dignity.
The report which is planned for the Vatican in October is based on a 39-question survey distributed to dioceses around the world ahead of the synod.
Bishops will consider the report when they meet in October, with any recommendations to Church teachings requiring approval by Pope Francis.
