Twenty10 seeks new Executive Director
Rebecca Reynolds, Managing Director of NSW LGBTI community group Twenty 10, will be stepping down from her role in the organisation after five years in the top slot. The organisation will now commence recruiting to fill Reynolds’ considerable shoes...
Co-Chair of Twenty10, Brendan Doggett says, “The Board was devastated when Rebecca came to us and told us that it was time to hand over the reins. Rebecca has been an amazing force within the organisation and has seen us grow beyond what we all thought was possible. So it is with a heavy heart that we now look to replace one amazing leader with another."
Reynolds resignation comes on the heels of the amalgamation of Twenty10 with GLCS. Doggert says both organisations are in tip top shape thanks to Reynolds work and the tireless efforts of volunteers.
“Twenty10 and GLCS are in such a great place thanks to the staff and Rebecca, that we know that special person to lead the organisation is out there, and the organisation can offer them a great place to work, where what they do really matters, and has a positive impact in our communities."
For her part, Reynolds believes Twenty10 is now in a position to grow even stronger and admits to feeling privileged to have worked with so many wonderful people during her tenure.
“I have the immense privilege of seeing a team of amazing staff and volunteers work wonders every day and make real differences in the lives of so many members of our communities. I am absolutely confident that this organisation will continue to go from strength to strength with such a committed and skilled team.”
In the thirty years since Twenty10 first opened its doors, the organisation has eveolved from a crisis accommodation service to a broad and innovative state wide support service for people of diverse gender identities, sexualities and sexes, their families and communities.
