Out Olympic diver Tom Daley's reality TV show Splash! has been axed in the UK.

The reality TV show, which saw Daley act as a diving coach to celebrities who competed against one another, had been hanging in the balance according to an insider at the ITV network.

The end of the series comes as Daley prepares for the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

According to the source "Tom's diving comes first. But we love having him on the channel and are looking at other project for him."

The final of the show which aired in the UK in February attracted 4.4 million viewers, down 2 million from the previous year.

Daley made headlines in 2013 after coming out as bisexual in a YouTube video, confirming he was in a relationship with a man.

He has since confirmed in April 2014 that he is no longer interested in dating women, and it has been revealed that the man referred to in the YouTube video is Hollywood director Dustin Lance Black.
