Tina Arena to headline Mardi Gras Party

Tina Arena has long been a favourite with the gay community, so it is no surprise to discover the pint-sized pop singer will be amongst the headlining acts at this year’s Mardi Gras Party.

Arena first won the hearts of Aussies as Tiny Tina Arena – a member of Johnny Young’s Young Talent Time before going on to forge a career as an ARIA chart topping pop singer.

After spending many years living in Paris, Arena has returned to her hometown of Melbourne and is delighting Aussie radio listeners once more, with tracks from her new studio album, Reset.

A stint on Dancing With The Stars has placed the singer once again in the hearts and minds of suburban Australia and ensured a newfound popularity, but the gay community has always supported the chanteuse, who has appeared at Mardi Gras on three previous occasions.

Arena has expressed her delight at performing at Mardi Gras for the fourth time and made the announcement on her Facebook page this morning.

“I’m really excited to let you all know that I will be performing at the one and only Mardi Gras Party,” Arena said.

Arena's track, Don’t Hide, is the official Mardi Gras 2014 anthem.

Tickets to the Mardi Gras Party are on sale now.
