Russian sitcom star says he wants gay people killed
Ivan Okhlobystin, the star of a popular Russian sitcom, has told a crowd assembled at a fan event in Siberia that if it were up to him, he would have all of the LGBTI community killed.
Okhlobystin, who stars in Interns, the Russian version of US sitcom Scrubs, said he would like to burn gay people alive.
“I’d put them all alive in the oven…it’s a living danger to my children,” Okhlobystin said.
Okhlobystin went on to demand gay people – who he decried as faggots – be stripped of their rights, describing them as an anomaly.
Okhlobystin’s show, Interns, was voted most popular in a viewer poll in Russia last year.
