KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian High Court has cleared the country’s opposition leader of sodomy, an act which is illegal in the Muslim-majority nation.

Anwar Ibrahim was accused of having sex with a former male aide, which on a guilty verdict could have received a 20 year prison term.

The case was dismissed by Judge Zabidin Diah who found the DNA evidence submitted by the prosecution was unreliable.

“The court is always reluctant to convict on sexual offences without corroborative evidence. Therefore, the accused is acquitted and discharged,” the judge said.

Following the verdict Ibrahim said, “Thank God justice has prevailed I have been vindicated. To be honest, I am a little surprised.”

Malaysia is where the Labor Party wants to send GLBTI refugees. To face torture for simply making love to their partner. Labor is guilty of crimes against humanity. They seek to make the brith of some Australians a punishment. This is not the actions of a progressive party, it is the actions of a party filled with hate for humanity. A party that seeks to deny the basic human dignity to exist freely without government persecution.
