Newtown Festival announced
The 35th annual Newtown Festival will hit Camperdown Memorial Rest Park on Sunday, November 10.
Presented by Newtown Neighbourhood Centre (NNC), Newtown Festival is one of Sydney’s largest community events with more than 80,000 visitors annually.
Entry is only a gold coin donation which goes directly towards supporting local services provided by the NNC.
There will be 280 stalls this year displaying the finest of Newtown’s vintage fashion, arts and fair trade products, as well as a host of exotic foods from all four corners of the globe.
As always, there’s a stellar line-up of musicians ready to hit the stage, with such headline acts as Dappled Cities and the Snowdroppers.
Emerging community artists and writers will also offer a creative feast of panels and discussions.
For the kids, there will be interactive activities and workshops, amusement rides, puppet shows and entertainers.
And there will also be an Eco Zone where visitors can learn more about urban sustainability.
The Newtown Festival will be held at Camperdown Memorial Rest Park on Sunday, November 10 from 9.30 am – 5.30pm. To find out more, visit newtowncentre.org/festival.
