Despite assurances that he would attempt to overcome internal party differences to push for a bill to legalise civil unions for same sex couples, Poland’s Prime Minister Donald Tusk has backed down in the face of strong opposition and says it is now unlikely that Poland will legalise same sex unions in the immediate future.
