NSW: The Sydney Gay Meditation Group will be hosting a meditation retreat in Sydney’s Blue Mountains this May, the ‘Creating Sacred Community Retreat’.
Renowned gay scholar, author and mystic Andrew Harvey will be on hand to run the retreat.
Harvey has been described as an inspired visionary – a spiritual, intellectual, and cultural mystic, whose passion is to awaken people to a new and essential empowerment in this world.
The author of more than 30 books and the co-writer of The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying, Harvey is ranked in company with the top 100 most spiritually influential living people of our times as compiled by the Watkins Mind Body & Spirit Magazine.
The 'Creating Sacred Community Retreat' has been specially curated by Harvey for the Sydney Gay Meditation Group to enable the group’s participants to explore their spirituality, sexuality and community in a safe and nurturing environment.
The weekend retreat promises to activate personal transformation within partcipants and their community. The program will combine live-guided meditations, yoga, sacred circles, heart groups, fire ceremonies and many more exciting activities while a cleansing array of vegetarian food will be on offer.
While the retreat is for the LGBTIQ community, it is not exclusive, and all open-minded people are welcome.
The Creating Sacred Community Retreat takes place on May 30 - June 1 at the Karuna Meditation Centre at the Blue Mountains.
