Out for Australia calling for volunteers for mentoring and communications roles.
LGBTIQ mentoring program Out For Australia is looking for people who are passionate about playing an active role in the personal and professional development of aspiring LGBTIQ professionals to join the organisation.
The group is currently seeking to fill nine positions nationwide and are looking for people who are committed to bringing the community together to offer a supportive and nurturing environment for which people can network, build relationships and assist each other in their careers.
The roles are open to both LGBTIQ people and straight allies, and to both students and professionals at any stage of their degree or career. If you’d like to be a visible role model in a professional context and help provide a safe environment for LGBTIQ young professionals to flourish and grow, then Out for Australia may be for you.
Positions currently on offer in NSW are: NSW Communications Coordinator, NSW Gender and Sex Diversity Coordinator, NSW Mentoring Coorodinator and NSW Partnerships Coordinator.
The organisation is also hosting a panel discussion on March 29 featuring key industry leaders to discuss workplace leadership in a LGBTIQ context. The discussion will focus on how to be a leader in the workplace while proudly identifying as LGBTIQ
