On your marks: Pink Diamond Race Day
ADELAIDE: All the glitz and glamour that is the Pink Diamond Race Day will set Morphetville Racecourse ablaze again this November.
It’s the day when the queer community descends in all its finery on the Adelaide home of the Sport of Kings (and Queens) and all in the name of charity.
At $135 per person, the ticket includes entrance into the racecourse, a five hour beverage package, a gourmet two-course luncheon plus afternoon tea, private betting facilities and outrageous entertainment from hosts Rochelle and Vonni.
“If you’ve never been before, you’d better book now, because people who have been before will be lining up to buy tickets again this year,” Pink Diamond coordinator Kylie Przibilla told blaze.
“There’s really nothing like it on the ‘gay calendar’, it’s unique – and what’s even better is that everyone who comes along will be raising funds for the McGrath Foundation raising awareness of breast cancer and placing breast care nurses in communities across Australia.
“Talk about a win-win situation!”
