Kate Carnell resigns from beyondblue

The CEO of national depression and mental health awareness organisation beyondblue, Kate Carnell has announced she will leave the organisation in May to take up a similar position with the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI).

Carnell oversaw a number of LGBTI targeted campaigns during her two years with beyoundblue including the 'Families Like Mine' guide for families of young people and the 'Stop. Think. Respect' television and media campaign.

A former ACT chief minister Carnell is also vocal supporter of marriage equality and welcomed the territory's vote to legalise same-sex marriage last year.

Carnell said that the ACCI already has a strong relationship with beyondblue and hopes to continue creating mentally healthy workplaces in her new role.
