HALC to face funding cuts

The HIV AIDS Legal Centre (HALC) is facing funding cuts. This valuable service provides a vital support service to people living with HIV who have been victimised or stigmatised because of their HIV status.

HALC is looking to the community to assist in picking up the short fall so they can continue with this valuable service.

Sydney MP Alex Greenwich met with HALC to discuss the State Government cuts and urged the community to join him in making a donation to ensure the continued existence of HALC.

"It's sad that such a vital service for the LGBTI community is facing a funding cut,” Greenwich told GNN.

"We need HALC to protect vulnerable members of our community who are discriminated against because of their HIV status.

"I urge all community members to join me in supporting HALC during their fundraising campaign."
