ANZ gets into Mardi Gras spirit with GAYTMS on Oxford Street
Rhinestones, glitter, jewels, the colours of the rainbow – you won’t have trouble finding these ATMs by ANZ.
The bank has glammed up its ATM fleet in honour of Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
ANZ has commissioned artists to individually decorate ten ‘GAYTMS’ around Sydney in celebration of diversity and inclusion.
ANZ has been a partner of Sydney Mardi Gras for eight years and in 2014, is the festival’s inaugural principal partner.
The partnership goes hand in hand with the bank’s inclusive values, as exemplified by ANZ’s Pride Network, which promotes diversity and respect for the bank’s staff and customers.
Mark Hand, Chair of ANZ Australia’s Diversity Council said: “This association is all about encouraging an environment where everyone feels comfortable being themselves at work. You don’t get the benefits of a diverse workforce if some people are expending vast amounts of energy pretending to be something they are not and trying to conform.
“We want the best people to work at our organisation and given how many people identify as LGBTI, we want to make sure that everyone feels welcome here at ANZ – regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity,” Hand said.
Moreover, ANZ is donating ATM operator feeds from non ANZ cardholders from the GAYTMS during the festival to LGBTI youth support group, Twenty10.
