Join the Fifth Army and help HeadSpace fight depression

LAST UPDATED // Wednesday, 05 March 2014 10:55 Written by // Cec Busby

Youth mental health service HeadSpace wants you to rally the troops and become part of the Fifth Army – a revolution to fight the stigma surrounding mental health issues.

A partnership between the Cotton On Foundation and HeadSpace to raise awareness of mental health issues, the Fifth Army has been running for two years with a mandate to educate the community on mental health and how to recognise warning signs for depression and anxiety in yourself, family or friends and where to go for support.

The campaign culminates in a Day of Action on March 28.

Currently the Fifth Army is on the hunt for recruits. You can join as a solo recruit, create your own troop or join a regiment. Recruits will participate in daily missions, including challenges to help improve mood and pop- quizzes to learn more about mental health.

On March 28th, Fifth Army troops will be encouraged to complete their final mission – bringing the movement to life by rallying together friends, family and workmates for the 'Day of Action'.
