Join Kerryn Phelps for Barnardos charity dinner
Sails at Lavender Bay will play host to the second annual Spring Charity Dinner in honour of leading child welfare charity, Barnardos Australia on September 12.
The event will be hosted by the owners of Sails, Greg Anderson and Patricia Corban-Nunes, and attendees will enjoy a sumptuous 5 course menu with wines, by award winning chef Nathan Darling at their spectacular restaurant.
Special guest speakers on the night will be Prof. Kerryn Phelps AM, Jackie Stricker-Phelps and their daughter Gabi. All three will speak from the heart about their family’s experience in ‘Fostering a Future for Adoption’.
Kerryn and Jackie are passionate ambassadors for Barnardos Australia and support the charity's work to find safe homes for abused children through foster care and adoption and also early intervention with families to prevent abuse.
100% of the proceeds from the night will go to Barnardos Australia to help children suffering abuse and neglect in Australia.
Last year’s inaugural event was a runaway success, with tickets selling out and raising $33,000 for Barnardos – far surpassing the event’s original goal of $20,000.
With such fascinating and heartfelt speakers and exquisite food and wine for 90-100 guests, this year also promises to be an intimate affair of the highest quality, so be quick to secure your seat.
