Jamie Jackson, the teenager at the centre of the police brutality scandal at last year’s Mardi Gras is releasing a single on YouTube.

According to Jackson, the track, titled, ‘I’ve Decided that I’m Great’ was made in response to his arrest at  last year’s parade.

In the track, Jackson delivers lyrics such as:
“I’ve had enough, get me out of these handcuffs,” the song goes.
“I won’t be told, even though I’m in your choke hold.
“Just let me free, I’m sick of you walking over me.
“I don’t care what you say, I’ve decided that I’m great.”

The song will release on YouTube on Wednesday.

Last week Jackson was awarded nearly $40,000 in costs by a Downing Centre judge.
