George Michael ‘well and resting’ after collapse
Iconic gay singer George Michael is said to be well and resting after reports he was recently rushed to hospital on May 22 after he collapsed in his home.
Paramedics were called to the singer’s North London house after a friend made the emergency call.
A spokesman for the ambulance service has told the Daily Mail:
"We sent two ambulance crews and staff treated one patient, a man, who was then taken to hospital.”
The cause of the singer’s collapse is as yet unknown with his management refusing to comment on the mystery illness stating only that “George Michael was in hospital for routine tests.”
A spokesperson has now confirmed that George was discharged over the weekend and is "well and resting".
This instance is one of many health scares the singer has faced over the years, having been hospitalised with pneumonia in 2012 and escaping with minor injuries after falling out of a car in 2013.
