Don't miss Dykes on Bikes' bike and tattoo show

Dykes on Bikes (DOB) is holding their annual Bike & Tattoo Show on Saturday February 1. Expect the unexpected as the DOB crew return to their old haunt at the Hampshire Hotel for a day of fun and mayhem.

DOB President, Karen Cooper, said "It's great being back at the Hampy. The laneway is a fantastic space for the bike comp and nothing beats having all the girls up against the fence for the wet t-shirt competition."

As the event's title would suggest the two main components of the day are a bike competition and a tattoo comp.

There are five categories in the bike competition: Big Bikes, Learner Legal & Scooters, Best Dressed, Rat Bike and People's Choice.  The competition is open to everyone in the LGBTQI community.

All bikes must be registered by 12.30pm to be eligible for the judging.  Cooper said there are great prizes and some amazing trophies to be won.

"The tattoo competition is on later in the day when we move inside.  There are five categories:  Best Arm, Leg, Front, Back and Body Modification. There is also a perpetual trophy for Best Tattoo in Show being donated by Venomous Ink.

Apart from the two main competitions they also have the infamous Wet T-Shirt completion, the Coin Toss and a Fake Orgasm Competition. DJ K will be keeping the music pumping throughout the day

DOB President, Karen Cooper, said: "This event is for everyone in our community.  Anyone with a bike or a tattoo is welcome to join in the competition but for everyone else it's just a great day out. And being the weekend before Fair Day it's a fantastic way to get ready for the Mardi Gras Festival."
