Ian Thorpe and boyfriend set to leave Australia for Paris
It looks as though Australia is set to lose another high profile member of the LGBTI community, with Olympic gold medal winner Ian Thorpe planning to move to Paris with his boyfriend Ryan Channing.
The move has apparently been prompted by Channing’s acceptance of a secondment in the city of love. Channing who is a law student will continue his studies in human rights in the French capital.
According to reports in the Herald Sun, Thorpe will jet between Australia and France in order to maintain his relationship with Channing. The pair officially came out as a couple on Valentine’s Day and have recently shown their support for same-sex marriage by adding their photo to the Say I Do Down Under campaign.
