George Michael's cause of death revealed
Pop superstar George Michael's death has been ruled to have been the result of natural causes.
UK coroner, Darren Salter, said the post mortem had revealed Michaels died as a result of heart disease and a fatty liver.
Salter, who is the senior coroner for Oxfordshire gave the singers cause of death as “dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and fatty liver.”
In layman’s terms this means Michael's heart was affected with a condition which limited its ability to pump blood, eventually causing inflammation of the heart muscle.
The singer was just 53 when he died at home in Oxfordshire on Christmas day last year.
The singer’s partner Fadi Fawaz who had been the victim of accusations that he had somehow been involved in the cause of Michael's death took to Twitter following the news to say ‘fuck you' to his detractors.
