Brisbane’s Red Run in New Farm for AIDS awareness

CREATED ON // Saturday, 26 November 2016 Author // Andrew Shaw

In the lead up to World AIDS Day, events have already begun in Brisbane including today’s Red Run Fun Run in New Farm.

The Red Run is a 5km fun run along the curves of the Brisbane River around New Farm Park, and despite stormy weather threatening the city, no one was raining on the parades of the 236 runners who turned out.

Brisbane City Council Councillor Vicki Howard was there to start the proceedings.

World AIDS Day is December 1, and Brisbane will hold a Candlelight Vigil at Reddacliff Place in the City.
