Ben evicted from Big Brother
At one point he was odds-on favourite to win the $250,000 prize, but last night the viewers of popular reality show Big Brother voted Ben Zabel, a gay 30-year-old from Queensland, out of the show.
Ben’s eviction came at the narrowest of margins with all the guys within a point of going home. Tim, another favourite to win, scored 17.8 with Ed on 16.9, Drew on 17.0 and Ben last on 16.2. The remaining girl in the house, Tahan, scored the lion’s share of votes to save from eviction at 32 per cent.
The result came as a shock to the studio audience who gave the evictee a standing ovation.
Host Sonia Kruger seemed visibly shocked by the announcement and commented “there has been no pattern to the voting.”
Just a few weeks ago Ben had received the most votes to save him from eviction.
