Be a part of Sydney Pride Festival

LAST UPDATED // Tuesday, 06 May 2014 15:18

Sydney Pride Festival is accepting expressions of interest from community members and organisations interested in being a part of, or holding their own event during Stonewall Pride Week.

The theme of the 2014 festival is ‘All We Need is Love’. The festival will launch at Sydney’s Stonewall Hotel on June 13 and run until June 30. The festival is not only a celebration of LGBTI pride, but also provides the community with the opportunity to remember the history of our march towards equality, beginning with the Stonewall Riots in the US, which marked the commencement of gay liberation as we know it.

This Sydney Pride Festival will include a wide range of events throughout Sydney that are fun and affordable for everyone. The events will raise much needed funds for LGBTI focused charities and showcase our community and its achievements.

With marriage equality still evading us and homosexuality illegal in many countries, it’s time to stand up for LGBTI rights once more: and what better way to do it than be a part of the Sydney Pride Festival.

According to the festival's website, the festival will feature Art, Cinema, Trivia, Debates, Sports, Fundraising activities and Club events across Sydney, with full details to be announced soon.
