Farmers criticise Meat and Livestock’s Mardi Gras support

The Meat and Livestock Association has come under fire from its members for sponsoring a float in the 2017 Mardi Gras parade. The same float had previously come under attack from animal welfare supporters who believed the association should not be represented in a celebration of equality.

Mardi Gras Parade hailed a success

Aside from a few sprinkles here and there, the rain kindly held Saturday night as an estimated 250,000 colourful spectators took to the streets of Darlinghurst to watch more than 12,000 participants march in the 39th annual Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade.
