ARIES

2013 may be the year when you finally grow up and become the person you are destined to be. Start off by opening your heart and your mind to new ideas and people in the first half of 2013. It is vitally important that you remain intellectually stimulated. Travel may be a worthwhile option. After June 27, prepare to put down roots and consolidate your position. For most of the year it is important that you come to terms with your past and finally resolve issues that have been plaguing you. This particularly applies to financial issues. An eclipse in your sign on October 18 will help you to realise how far you have come and how far you still have to go. Err on the side of caution. The best time for romance will be late March/early April and mid August/mid September. These later dates offer you the best chance to find a significant other.

TAURUS

The big lessons to be learnt this year will be via relationships. Saturn will force you to examine the dynamics of your loves and friendships and any couplings that have reached their used by date should be confined to the past. This shedding process will be assisted by three key eclipses. The first of these occurs on April 25 and may force you to see the reality of your romantic situation. The second eclipse happens in your sign on May 10 and this grants you the energy to rebuild. By the eclipse of November 3, you'll realise just how far you have come. You should have good fortune in money matters in the first half of the year and after June 27 you will meet exciting new people who challenge your views. Expect to be at your most dynamic in April and mid September to mid October is when love will be in the air.

GEMINI

Feeling in control yet? You should be as Jupiter is still in your sign. This pleasant situation continues until June 27 so be aware of the opportunities surrounding you. Spend the first half of the year spring cleaning your life and prepare yourself for big adventures. From July onwards you should settle down and consolidate gains. The main problem that many of you will face concerns work choices. Get off the treadmill if you are unhappy with your career or workplace. It may be best to jump before you are pushed. Curtail time wasting habits. The eclipse of April 25 will bring employment/organisational issues to a head. Realise that with your quick mind you are capable of almost any occupation. By November you should sense if you are on the correct path. Expect romantic sparks to fly in late May and October.

CANCER

The big news is that Jupiter, the planet of expansion and opportunity, zooms into your sign on the 27th. After this date allow nothing, or no one, to hold you back. It is important, however, to proceed with a certain degree of caution as Saturn’s position suggests that you should be protective of your public image. Think carefully before you air any dirty laundry and make sure that you know all of the facts. Some of your own deep, dark secrets may be revealed around the eclipse of April 25. It is probably best to lurk behind the scenes. Wait until the eclipse of November 3 to explore new horizons. From November 6 until the end of the year Venus’ position will cause you to concentrate on issues of love. You’ll want to work hard at partnerships and establishing a work/life balance. Expect your priorities to change.

LEO

Saturn’s position means it is important that you go out of your way to look after yourself and your family. Don’t take any risks around your home and be especially nurturing to those who you love. Avoid any dubious financial schemes. For the first half of the year, intriguing new people and ideas will enter your world. You may change your opinions and take up new hobbies and activities. You’ll begin to view your future in an entirely different way. From June 27, you’ll be more imaginative and creative and may become slightly indifferent to worldly status. Spiritual quests may be embarked upon. By the end of 2013 people will comment that a new, caring you has emerged. From November 6 onwards you’ll spend time thinking about how you can re-organise you life and put into place some of your new ideas.

VIRGO

For the first six months of 2013 you should expect to firing on all cylinders. Opportunities will come your way and you are advised to carefully choose many new projects. Your progress at work should be outstanding. From July onwards, be more selective and indulge in those pursuits that bring you the most personal satisfaction. Expect your definition of success to change. Throughout the year be wary of the information that you receive. Trust your instincts and don't pursue those paths that feel ‘wrong’. Realise that not everyone has your best interests at heart. Be careful and double check short term travel plans. The eclipse of May 10 is when you should make a wish and begin significant future projects. March and late July/early August is when you are most likely to feel loved and appreciated.

LIBRA

You’ll be incredibly conscious of your future security for much of 2013. Up until July, Jupiter will assist you to move forward and explore a range of different options. In the second half of the year, some of your most cherished dreams may be achieved as your previous hard work will be rewarded. Even though you have the possibility of making excellent progress, you must remember to exercise fiscal caution. Saturn is encouraging you to achieve financial fitness. Don't neglect deadlines and minimise debt. Venus' retrograde movement in the last weeks of the year will give you a chance to review your success and rethink your economic strategies. Expect the eclipse of October 18 to make you aware of your romantic needs. This is when you may make up your mind if someone is right, or wrong, for you.

SCORPIO

By now you should be used to the feeling of Saturn in your sign. This planet is a major influence for all of this year and will help you to let go of redundant ideas and activities. Resistance is futile and will only lead to heartbreak and frustration. You will also experience two eclipses in your sign. The first of these occurs on April 25 and it will make you very aware of where you need to make urgent changes. If you have not been honest with yourself this could be a difficult time. The second eclipse occurs on November 3. This will assist you to embrace new ways and methods. In the first half of the year you will be granted the opportunity to come to terms with your past. Remember the good times and move on. After July, focus upon the future with increased optimism. The eclipse of May 10 should offer favourable romantic opportunities.

SAGITTARIUS

The first half of 2013 should be filled with much love and happiness. Jupiter, your ruler’s, position will help you to appreciate the wonderful people around you and assist you to make the most of opportunities. You’ll remain calmer, be better balanced and will be fair in your judgements. During the second half of the year, you will concern yourself more with financial and family matters. You will find the energy to deal with some long neglected issues and will put some ghosts to rest. Saturn's influence may mean the abandonment of some long held dreams but this will be an advantage as you will be forced to concentrate on what is relevant and up to date. October will be a particularly pleasant month where you'll be at your charismatic best. Expect to indulge in some soul searching about your economic status in the last weeks of the year.

CAPRICORN

The position of Saturn, your ruler, for 2013 may mean that you question many of your beliefs and review some friendships. This trend will be particularly strong around the eclipse of April 25. You may have to cope with deception! Jupiter's benign influence in the first half of the year will keep you on track and organised. From July onwards, you'll enter one of your most romantic periods for years. Love will be very much on your agenda and firm commitments are likely to be made. You’ll adopt a lighter approach to life. You’ll realise some of your limitations in 2013 because of Saturn’s position. You may have to prioritise your interests and goals. You may be quite guarded in your approach to life over the first months of 2013. Once you have established a firm base to work from, you’ll be eager to engage with the world and from July will want to publicise the fact that you’re back. Another reason for your caution is Saturn’s position. You’ll be eager not to repeat past mistakes and will insist on getting things right before you commit to any agreements.
