Unique online exhibition 'Priscilla: 20 Years Young' launched by NFSA

The National Film and Sound Archive of Australia has launched an online exhibition to celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert.

Priscilla: 20 Years Young  showcases documents and artefacts from the iconic film including scripts and stills alongside director's notes and audiovisual commentary.

If you're curious about the costumes or intrigued about songs included on the film's soundtrack, then the  exhibition will deliver some anecdotal and interesting fast facts to quench your thirst for all things Priscilla.

Imagine a soundtrack featuring Kylie Minogue, Rick Astley, Bananarama and Jason Donovan - which was the original concept - we may have been hearing Especially for You or Love in the First Degree instead of I love the Nightlife.

This is the first time the NFSA has launched an exhibition on the net, allowing them to share artefacts from the iconic Aussie smash worldwide.

"We're very excited to launch our first online exhibition," CEO Michael Loebenstein says.

"Priscilla: 20 Years Young represents a new way to share our collection with audiences across Australia and around the world to ensure that the NFSA is truly  a'living' archive for everyone."
