Review: Limbo

As soon as Limbo starts you understand why this show is proving to be one of the more popular events of the 2013 Adelaide Fringe Festival.

Limbo is a creation from the production company that brought us Cantina and Tom Tom Crew. Limbo received its world premiere here in Adelaide before moving to London for a five-month season there.

The visually stunning show is well constructed to highlight the unique talents of the whole ensemble. The variety of styles and skills in the cast are sure to offer a greater chance for everyone to connect to the show and find a favourite. The band and their comical appearance sure prove popular, too.

The circus-theatre-cabaret is injected with cheeky humour and illusions adding light-heartedness to some of the darker, burlesque elements of the show. From fire breathing to bizarre flexibility Limbo seems to have it all in an impressive display that sends gasps, laughter and cheering through the crowds.

The entire theatre space is used in their production to fully immerse the audience into the show and the transitions between sets are smooth and well-crafted into the production. This popular show is selling out its nights and is well worth the night out if you have the chance to just see one show this Fringe Festival.

Limbo is appearing in the Garden of Unearthly Delights for many nights until March 17. Tickets from Fringetix.
