Doctor Who lands down under
Doctor Who fans rejoice! The twelfth doctor (Peter Capaldi) and his onscreen companion Clara Oswald (Jenna Coleman) will be live on stage at the State Theatre next month as part of the Doctor Who World Tour.
The tour kicks off in Wales on August 7 before heading off around the globe and settling in Sydney for one-night-only on August 12.
Fans will be treated to a screening of the new season premiere. Capaldi and Oswald will take part in a Q&A session after the screening hosted by self-confessed Doctor Who fan, Adam Spencer. The session will mark the first time Peter Capaldi has appeared on an Aussie stage. Fans will get the opportunity to ask questions of the cult TV series’ stars.
Says Helen Pendlebury, Head of Live Entertainment, BBC Worldwide Australia & New Zealand: ‘Australia has some of the most passionate Doctor Who fans in the world and we are delighted to offer them access to the Twelfth Doctor and his companion when they visit Sydney as part of Doctor Who: The World Tour.’
