Poof Doof goes bush at ChillOut 2017

CREATED ON // Thursday, 09 March 2017 Author // Rachel Cook

We caught up with Anthony Hocking from Poof Doof to find out about their upcoming party in the nation's country queer capital.

What was behind the idea to hold Poof Doof at ChillOut?
The new ChillOut Festival committee are looking to change things up at this years festival. Last year due to a change over of key committee members the Annual afterparty did not go ahead - there was outrage !!! and in turn the committee approached Poof Doof in order to collaborate and pull together an afterparty to celebrate the 2017 Festival.

Poof Doof loves collaborating with different promoters, and has worked just about every gay promoter in Sydney and Melbourne. Taking Poof Doof on the road to Daylesford seemed like the next step ! We have always wanted to take Poof Doof to regional Australia.

What will be the similarities/differences between this Poof Doof and the city events?
Of course we have a range of our resident DJs playing along with performers Lady Diamond, Peter & Paul and Polly Filla with a few of our very own Doofettes !

Can you tell us about the line-up and the shows?
Kam Shaafati,Argonaut, Jade Glover and Ruby Slippers.

Is Poof Doof a male only event or is everyone welcome?
Everyone is welcome!

What else would you like to tell us about Poof Doof 'Bush Doof’?
It’s going to be a GREAT party!

Sunday March 12, Daylesford Town Hall, Vincent Street Daylesford, chilloutfestival.com.au
