To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of John Waters' filmmaking career, Queer Screen will host a special late night screening of Waters’ cult classic, Polyester as part of this year’s Queer Screen Film Festival program.

And best of all, it will be a special Odorama event. Remember those scratch and sniff cards? Well they’re back! Everyone in the audience will get a card to scratch and sniff to enhance their cinema experience.

John Waters' fans will also be in for a treat with the man himself delivering a video introduction to the screening.

Queer Screen is encouraging Waters' fans to come dressed as their favourite character from one the King of Filth’s flicks, with prizes on offer for the best dressed.

So experience John Waters bad taste comedy complete with bad smells  - and kick back and watch as Divine delivers a starring performance as put-upon housewife Francine Fishpaw in the film that brought the performer one of her first tastes of fame.

Polyester screens Friday September 19 at 1030pm at Event Cinemas, George Street. www.queerscreen.org.au for more details.
