Plenty of love for the LGBT community at this year's Golden Globe nominations
It looks like the Hollywood Foreign Press Association is as impressed by gay themed coming of age drama, Moonlight as we are… The feature has picked up six nominations at the Golden Globes’ announcements last night.
The movie is in the running to score gongs for best picture, best director, best screenplay, best original score, best supporting actor for Mahershala Ali and best supporting actress for Naomie Harris. The film focuses on the life of a black gay man in Miami and spans several decades.
Other queer-centric productions received critical attention with BBC gay spy drama London Spy also receiving a nomination for actress Charlotte Rampling.

Transparent has once again secured a nomination for Best TV Drama and star Jeffrey Tambour will battle it out for the Best Actor role.
While Rachel Bloom, co-creator and star of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend has been nominated for the second time for Best Actress in a Comedy after successfully winning the accolade at the 2016 awards.
Out actors and directors also featured heavily in the nominations. Sarah Paulson has picked up a nod for her stand out performance in the The People v O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.

Tom Ford has picked up dual nominations for his flick Nocturnal Animals, scoring a nomination for Best Original Screenplay and Best Director categories.
And out bisexual Evan Rachel Wood copped a nod for her performance in HBO’s Westworld.
