Fans of Judy Garland and the era when there was no business like show business will want to get their hands on this new book, a collection of interviews featuring Garland talking about her life.

Judy Garland on Judy Garland: Interviews and Encounters presents the most important Garland interviews and encounters that took place between 1935 and 1969.

It begins with her first radio appearance under contract with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and concludes with her last known interview, one taped for Radio Denmark just months before her death.

One of the most interesting pieces is a dialogue between Garland and Noël Coward as they compare their experiences in the spotlight.

The word “darling” is uttered no less than 25 times.

Judy Garland on Judy Garland: Interviews and Encounters, edited by Randy Schmidt. 480 Pages. Formats: Cloth, PDF, EPUB, Mobipocket. Chicago Review Press (Sep 2014).
