Reassessment – a Dance Double Bill

Reassessment – a Dance Double Bill

Dance wunderkind Daniel Jaber continues to explore new areas in his latest production.

Before he knuckles down to his new job as artistic director of Leigh Warren Dance, Daniel Jaber is presenting Reassessment, a double bill of a new work, Agile, and his sultry, sexy solo from the 2010 Fringe, Too far again, not far enough.

“The new piece, Agile, came out of a short duet I made a few years ago in a residency in Malaysia,” Daniel explains, “and it almost didn’t happen because the authorities heard that the woman dancer was wearing a flesh coloured leotard and they nearly banned the performance!

"I’ve reworked it into a quartet which I think everyone will enjoy.”

And as for Too far again, not far enough, it’s Jaber’s solo reflection on self-worth, specifically, the conscious decision to subjugate yourself to others in the world of BDSM.

“What more can I say?” says Daniel, “That’s me!”
